The Business Of… Creating a successful Freelancing Hustle

This session highlights Virtual Enterprises’ program, The Business Of…, and how it equips students with real-world freelancing skills in their chosen trade areas. Educators, program coordinators, and career advisors will learn how this curriculum provides structured work-based learning opportunities, allowing students to explore trades like cosmetology, technology, automotive, engineering, and more while developing professional skills. Attendees will discover how the program integrates project-based learning, client management, and business operations into a trade-focused framework. The session will include interactive discussions, demonstrations of curriculum tools, and examples of student projects, helping participants envision how to implement similar experiences in their own programs. Participants will gain access to planning guides, sample modules, and resources from The Business Of, giving them actionable insights to expand WBL opportunities in their classrooms and programs, preparing students for success in both trades and freelancing careers.
