ACTE Postsecondary CTE Summit 2026

As federal and state policies increasingly prioritize short-term credentials, workforce alignment, and measurable outcomes, postsecondary CTE programs are being asked to do more than deliver content—they are being asked to design systems that sustain learner success, institutional effectiveness, and workforce readiness. This session explores how multi‑competency and stacked credential models can serve as a practical bridge between policy intent and instructional practice in allied health education.
 
 Grounded in validated job-task analyses and industry-recognized credentials, the session examines how multi‑competency pathway design aligns with evolving federal and state funding strategies, including Workforce Pell, outcomes-based funding models, and accreditation accountability frameworks. Participants will explore how intentionally stacked credentials support program sustainability, enable braided funding approaches, and strengthen alignment across education, workforce, and employer systems—without fragmenting the learner experience.
 
 Through real-world examples from allied health programs, this session highlights how policy-informed, evidence-based pathway design can improve retention, completion, certification outcomes, and placement, while providing learners with earlier milestones of value and greater career mobility. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how aligning policy, funding, and system-level expectations can transform multi‑competency pathways from instructional innovations into scalable, sustainable CTE strategies that connect education to workforce and economic development goals.
