Celissa Beck is a CTE educator and event professional who brings more than 15 years of industry experience into the classroom. At Athens Community Career Academy, part of Georgia's CTAE system, she teaches Entertainment, Sports & Event Management and Marketing under a simple philosophy: students learn by doing, not by being told. Her classroom runs on project-based learning, with students planning and executing real work instead of working through hypotheticals. Before moving into education, Celissa built her career in event planning and management, working across events, hospitality, marketing, and client experience. That background shapes how she brings industry practices into the classroom: practical, scalable, and grounded in what actually works.
