About me
Michelle is a former educator with fourteen years of classroom teaching experience at both the secondary and postsecondary levels. Prior to joining CareerSafe, she also spent three years as a contractor with the U.S. Department of Education, bringing a broad perspective on the connections between policy, practice, and workforce preparation. In her current role at CareerSafe, Michelle works at the intersection of career and technical education, credentialing, and workforce development. She stays connected to evolving CTE policy, priorities, and practices while partnering with state and district leaders, educators, and industry stakeholders to strengthen pathways from education to employment. Her work includes advancing thoughtful credential strategies, developing instructional and educator-support resources, and helping schools and programs integrate foundational safety and employability skills into workforce preparation. Michelle focuses on creating stronger connections between secondary education, postsecondary education, and the workforce so that educators are equipped to support students at every stage of their career journey.
