About me
Misty G. Hull serves as Dean of Academic Success for Allied Health at the Community College of Aurora (CCA), overseeing programs in Behavioral Health, Health Sciences, and Public Service. A Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor, she spent over two decades at Pikes Peak State College as a psychology faculty member and administrator, co-authoring Scientific American: Presenting Psychology with Deborah Licht and Coco Ballantyne. During that time, she helped build the Behavioral Health stackable credential pathway from the ground up, developing credentials that progress from certification through an AAS and into Colorado's first community college BAS in Behavioral Health. She also helped establish the ASPIRE program, which serves students over 18 with intellectual disabilities. At CCA, she now applies this experience to programs preparing students for careers in emergency medical services, fire science, nursing assisting, phlebotomy, and behavioral health at a time when the Denver Metro region faces critical workforce shortages.
Misty joined the NextLevel Fellowship to learn from CTE leaders across the country about strategies for making curriculum more responsive to industry needs, and finds it meaningful to join during ACTE's centennial year.
